Welcome to my web site…
I am a lawyer and for over 20 years my career has been in the pension and benefits industry. As Canadian Director of Research for a major actuarial/HR consulting firm, I managed a team that included lawyers, library staff, web designers, translators and a survey group.
One of my primary responsibilities was to develop and write company publications. In addition, I wrote government submissions, survey reports and articles for trade publications. I also took a leadership role in several industry associations and edited an international pension and benefits journal.
When I contemplated leaving consulting, I thought long and hard about what I do well and what I really love doing. Working with smart people in my industry who have creative, innovative ideas and writing about them came out on top!
So when I had the opportunity to jump from the Editorial Board of Employee Benefits News Canada to Editor in Chief of the publication, I didn’t hesitate. In over four years in that role I interviewed numerous people and wrote hundreds of articles. I also planned content and helped to promote two very successful industry conferences.
Now I am offering my analysis, writing and editing services to the broader business community. I encourage you to take a look around this web site to find out more about who I am, what I have done and the writing/communication services I can provide for you.
Thanks to my Advisors who will help to ensure I stay abreast of the latest and most relevant industry developments. And don’t forget to bookmark my Twitter Feed, Blog and Interviews for articles and insight about what is current and controversial in the HR, pension and benefits industry.
